Custom order pet paintings, dog paintings, cat paintings, child portrait paintings, family portrait paintings, horse paintings, landscape paintings, ocean and vacation souvenirs. Inspired by Music and synesthesia, using color notes to sketch sacramento live music performances. Brooke will sketch nude figure models to learn anatomy of the scull and skeleton.

"Bones are neither straight nor perfectly curved. Each is as unique as the life-force they once held. Painting skulls feels like a grapple with mortality and existential beauty, a duality I hope these paintings communicate. "

Artist Statement: Painting en Plein Air

"Painting en plein air makes me conscious of how fluid a landscape really is. Light and color change at a moment's notice, clouds and waves move constantly. Creating a landscape en plein air gives me the time to sit, listen, smell, observe, and respond in paint."
